A Little Bit About Me
So I find myself joining an online matchmaking site – looking for the one! Describe yourself its asks! Warm and caring I say! – But surely everyone says that...no? I am essentially a traditionalist with elements of the west that are within the realms of Islam. I’m very ‘happy go lucky’ always laughing, joking and teasing but by no means the joker. On a recent work ‘team bonding’ session it was deduced that I am of a ‘Sunshine Yellow personality. My friends describe me as attractive; (oh the admirers!), witty, a conversationalist, emotionally intelligent and very loyal.

Family is important, we’re a close knit family and try and frequently spend quality time together – be that going to a new restaurant or a holiday abroad. My siblings are of reputable professional backgrounds – education has always been an emphasis at home. I have small circle of close friends – I’m not one to socialise with them every week, but every so often do enjoy catching up over dinner or a shopping trip.

Career wise – I love what I do, currently a resident optometrist. I most probably will eventually locum – it makes sense to do so being able to balance work and home. As much as I love what I do I have no qualms in letting home life have precedence over my career.

Divorced? Yes. A marriage that lasted a few months many years ago. Scarred by it? Nope – barely remember it! Lol ☺

What I Am Looking For
I do not have a long list of what I do and do not want – I do not believe that tick boxes work – however there are a few things that are key. A professional, UK born and bred. No Mr Innits please – we really wouldn’t get on. Someone that is serious in settling down. I believe a man should be the man of the house and have an air of authority – by no means a dictator, but more a friend whom I’ll look up to and respect – Equality between a man and woman doesn’t have to be drawn up. It isn’t about him doing the cooking one day and I the other – For me its about having a mutual respect and care for each other - I think the rest just falls in to place.
